FAQ:

What do Private Lessons look like this season?

Our coaches offer private lessons during the pool season. They are priced at $25/30 minutes, and parents are able to sign up for any number of slots they would like, as well as preferences in terms of dates and times. If you are interested in signing your child up for private lessons, please contact our Head Coach at brycemlgra@gmail.com  with your child’s age, gender, and number of lessons you would like to purchase. If you have a particular scheduling need, feel free to let the coaching staff know and we would be more than happy to help make the schedule work as best we can.

How do I pay for Private Lessons?

The coaching staff will accept payments via Venmo, in one package or after each lesson, based on parent preference.

Does my child need to be a particular age for Private Lessons?

Not at all! As long as your child is able to be in the water without their parent nearby, the coaching staff is more than happy to teach your child. If you have more specific questions, please reach out at brycemlgra@gmail.com

Are any meets we do mandatory?

Swim meets are not mandatory, so if you feel that your child is not ready for whatever reason, you are at liberty to hang back and not participate in meets. However, we do encourage participation as much as possible, and if your child is not comfortable racing, we always love cheerleaders!

I don’t see my child’s name on the roster, when will they be practicing? If you don’t see your child’s name on the roster, please update your information on TeamUnify. The coaching staff uses this service to determine what age group swimmers will be in, so if your information is not up to date, they cannot be put in a practice group. If this is the case for you, please let our Head Coach know at brycemlgra@gmail.com  and he can sort it out with you. In general, the practice times are listed at the beginning of this sheet, and barring any exception, that is when your child will be practicing.

What is Little Fins?

Little Fins is for any child who is able to be in the water without a parent present, but needs more practice in order to swim a full pool length. The program offers support for a wide variety of swimmers and their skill levels, and our coaching staff is happy to accommodate your swimmer. The first two practices will be dedicated to evaluations to determine which practice group your child will be in. If you have any questions or concerns, reach out to our Head Coach at brycemlgra@gmail.com .

How do I make sure I am getting emails from the coaching staff?

The coaching staff is communicating with parents via TeamUnify. If you are not up to date on that software, or you have not signed up yet, please do so because this allows you to receive communications, as well as confirms that your child is in the roster for swim team practice times.

If you have any other questions that were not answered here, please reach out and we will be happy to answer your questions or concerns. This past year has been crazy and we are so thankful to be able to hold a season. We would like to stress that while we are doing our best to meet everyone’s needs, it is not possible to please everyone. Our goal is to provide a season which is safe and healthy for all our swimmers, and we will do so in accordance with the best available information at our disposal, in conjunction with guidance from LGRA and JRAC. If you have concerns, we ask that you reach out, and we would be more than happy to help you.
